Our constant coaching helps keep you focused and relaxed about the journey as there are invariably great achievements and a few potholes along the way. We want to make your regular exercise enjoyable and fun – it is not all about sweat and pain!

Our classes are efficient and effective at getting your body to work for you by changing your resting metabolic rate. The EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption – or ‘after burn’) you experience will see you burning fat at a quicker rate than if you exercised for twice as long in the ‘fat burning’ range. Our goal is to set your metabolism on fire and turn you into a fat burning machine!

Functional Fitness

Today, you lift a 25 kilogram suitcase to carry it downstairs — and throw your back out! What happened? In all likelihood, you are not paying
enough attention to your functional fitness. You might be toned, tight, and ready for the beach, but are you ready to lift your toddler out of the car seat or hoist the spring-water bottle onto the dispenser?

Functional fitness focuses on building a body capable of doing real-life activities in real-life situations, not just lifting a certain amount of weight in an idealised posture created by a gym machine. It is all about integration – teaching all the muscles to work together rather than isolating them to work independently.

A variety of exercises are used that work flexibility, core, balance, strength, and power.

Improved Strength and Overall Conditioning

We help you create and maintain more efficient, stronger lean muscle by properly supervising strength/resistance training exercises and ensuring you are using proper technique.

The aim is to provide you with significant strength and conditioning benefits and improvements in your overall personal performance – i.e, get you fit.

We exercise the major muscle groups to challenge and improve your lean muscle mass. It’s not only about muscle size but muscle efficiency – better energy creation, co-ordination, agility, power and balance. We progressively increase the energy output of the muscles through increases of weight and other techniques.
